Let's find the right plan.
Answer a few quick questions and we'll size it from there. Not a percentage of body weight, not a guess.
Your Feeding Plan
So we can personalise the plan. Or skip this if you'd rather not say.
An estimate is fine. You can adjust later.
Think about your dog's typical week, not their best day.
No judgement. This is so we can adjust calories precisely.
Neutered dogs need slightly fewer calories. It makes a real difference to the calculation.
Your Plan
How your plan is calculated.
Your plan matches your dog's energy needs to the calorie content of this food. That's why the calculator asks about activity, body condition, and life stage. Not just weight.
The same weight of food can contain very different amounts of energy.
Weight managed by design
With one recipe, the calorie density is always the same. That means every gram amount the calculator gives you is built around your dog's calorie needs. Not an average across different meals. The same complete food, every time.
Body condition is built in. If your dog is carrying extra weight, the portion comes down. If they're lean and active, it goes up. No separate "light" product. No guesswork. As your dog changes, recalculate and the portion updates.
One recipe. Every life stage.
The food stays the same. The amount changes. The calculator adjusts it for your dog's life stage.
Puppies
More food while they grow. Less as they mature.
Adults
Adjusted for activity, body condition, and neuter status.
Seniors
Less if they need it. The same complete nutrition.
Questions about your plan.
Is this the right amount for my dog?
The amount may look smaller than what you're used to. That's because this food is nutritionally concentrated. A smaller portion delivers the same energy as a larger portion of something less nutrient-rich.
If your dog is still hungry after the first week, contact us and we'll review the plan with you.
Is raw food safe?
How do I switch from my current food?
Day 1-2: 25% Protocol Raw, 75% current food.
Day 3-4: 50/50.
Day 5-6: 75% Protocol Raw, 25% current food.
Day 7: 100% Protocol Raw.
Most dogs transition without any issues. Some experience softer stools in the first few days as their gut adjusts. This is normal and usually resolves within a week. If you're switching from cooked fresh food, the transition tends to be smoother than switching from kibble.
We check in after your first box to see how things are going. If anything feels off, we're here to help.
I already feed my dog good food. Why switch?
The difference is not that your current food is bad. It's that this gives you a more precise plan and published proof for every batch you receive.
The same level of care you already give, with less guesswork and more transparency.
Can Protocol Raw help my dog lose weight?
As their condition changes, recalculate and the plan updates. If you're concerned about significant weight loss, we'd always recommend working with your vet alongside any diet change. The calculator gives them a clear calorie figure to review.
